Sundays at City Presbyterian
![]()
Our service is held at 10:30
a.m. on the 1st floor auditorium (Turnhalle) of the Tivoli
Building on the Auraria Campus. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Directions to the Tivoli.
Our Nursery is available for infants and toddlers. Children age
three and older attend worship with their parents.
Children's Church, a special time of age appropriate teaching and worship
training, is available for children ages 3-5 during the sermon.
Many of us are unfamiliar with the use of a structured liturgy (order) in worship. The word liturgy means “the work of the people.” It points us to worship as an act rather than as an experience. The experience comes as a result of the act, for we have come to do something (worship) and the blessings we receive are in response to what we have given.

Preaching is the authoritative proclamation of God’s Word, contained in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. The authority of preaching is not inherent in the preacher but rather the text itself. The goal is to learn to live out our faith and apply the Gospel to various areas of our lives, not merely to gain knowledge. We strive that all of our teaching ministries combine intellectual depth with intense practicality, so that the deepest questions and issues of life are answered with honesty and with the fullness of the historic Christian message.
